I finished the Flowers...

...and I´m finished with painting glass vases. I didn´t even try adding all the reflections. Because of trying to follow the poor instructions of my teacher I had not left any white flecks for the reflections in the glass. And so I simplified the whole thing. Now I´m not really satisfied with it, but at least I learned a lot while trying to get it right. Next time I hope to do better. But for now I don´t have any intentions of painting glass again...at least not any time soon. Too much stress for me, ha, ha, ha!
(By the way: I did not lighten up the photo this time - at least not very much- so now you can see a more realistic coloring)

I am SO in LOVE with your sunflowers!!! They are sooo amazing, Bea, my goodness!
The glass vase is awesome!! It looks great!! Never mind the reflections, what if the vase sat in the shadows??! Then there wouldn't be much of reflections anyways. No big deal, Bea!! It's a fantastic Portfolio piece you created! Just excellent work! Can't wait to see more... ;-)

Tine: Thanks for your lovely compliments! I´m glad you think that the reflections are not that important. Your are right about the shadow thing. And then the light in my room at home is very different from the light in drawing class anyway. Which irritated me a bit.

Thanks, Eloqi! Glad you like it!

And thanks to you, too, lilorfnannie! I tried to find you site, but you´re not online maybe?

Tania: Thanks for your compliment and yay for swirling, dancing petals!

Wow, Bea! I am impressed with your work. The flowers look great and the vase too! So what if there aren't any reflections in it. Freedom of artistic interpretation :-) But an artist is never satisfied with it's work so I can understand. It's important that you didn't give up and finished this piece. And if you feel you have learned something that is good too... it will make you a better artist :-)

Thank you for your kind comment, Marianne! Freedom of aristic interpretation sounds great! ;-) I´m glad you like it! And I guess you are right about the not ever really being satisfied with one´s own work. It´s probably this way, because one never has the inner distance to one´s own work.

this is great Bea! well done although i like it a little lighter(did you make the lighting digitally or in the painting itself?)

Thanks Isay! It´s only the photo I took that was too dark. The real colors of the picture are a little bit paler than in this photo here.
